Instructions RAZ-application

Read the instructions carefully before you start filling in the electronic application form. The application form is entirely in Dutch, however, because everything you enter will be on the certificate, you must enter it in English. You are responsible for entering your details correctly.

The digital application method is only compatible with Internet browsers Microsoft Edge or Internet Explorer version 8 or newer.

1. Applicant Details (Gegevens aanvrager)

If the employer/applicant is not the ship manager, the contact details of the employer must be entered. In this case the exemption will state the following: “ship manager name” represented by “employer/applicant”.

As standard, the exemption to be issued will be sent as a PDF document to the e-mail address you have specified.

If the invoice has to be sent to a different address, you can enter a different invoice address if necessary.

2. Application details (Gegevens van aanvraag)
Here you choose what the application is for: a new exemption or a renewal. For renewals, please enter the reference number of the exemption to be extended. Then, enter the desired date of the exemption. Renewals are extended by one year.

For the type of application, enter the exemption type. The no cluster request is the default option. This is a normal exemption for 1 ship.

If you want to apply for a cluster exemption (several ships on one licence), there are two options; a cluster for 5 years or for 1 year. Check which is applicable to you.

For 5-year renewals of the appendix of a cluster application, then you must enter the start date of appendix cluster request.

3. Ship (Schip)
Enter the name of the ship applicable to the exemption application. For cluster requests, you can fill in the details of more than one vessel. Clicking on the plus sign adds a new field in which you can enter the name of an additional ship. If you want to remove a ship, you can click the cross next to the completed box.

4. Number of positions per country of residence (Aantal arbeidsplaatsen per woonland)
By Country of Residence you fill in the number of seafarers and the applicable collective labour agreement. You can choose from Philippines, Indonesia and Other. In the Philippines field, you can choose the CBA: Dutch Amosup, PSU, Neptune (MESV), Offshore, Ferries and Other (enter the other applicable CBA here). The Neptune CBA is valid for Marine Engineering Support Vessels (MESVs); this CBA may only be used by shipping companies that are members of Neptune. In the Indonesia field, you can choose the CBA: KPI, Neptune (MESV), Offshore, or Other (here you enter the other applicable CBA). The Neptune CBA relates to Marine Engineering Support Vessels. This CBA may only be applied by shipping companies that are members of Neptune. For other nationalities you can choose Other, and then enter the other nationality. For CBA, you can choose from Nemea or Other (here you enter the other applicable CBA).

5. Additional attachments (Mee te zenden bijlagen)
Here you can upload document(s) that you want to enclose with the application. This may be, for example, the application for the issue of the Collective BargainingAgreement for Filipino seafarers. You can upload multiple documents by adding a field with the plus sign and removing a field by clicking on the cross next to the field.

6. Declarations (Verklaringen)
To be able to send the application, the two declaration statements must both be checked. If this is not possible (because one or both statements are answered with no), then Nautilus International must be contacted. Use the empty field below to submit an explanation if necessary.

7. Send form (verzenden)
When you have entered everything correctly, click on send and the application to be sent and the exemption will be processed. You can stop the process by clicking 'annuleer'. In both cases you will return to the licence overview.
